Cyanotypes are obtained by mixing together two non-toxic chemicals, known as potassium ferricyanide and ferric ammonium citrate, with a bit of water. The mixture is then applied onto a paper, on top of which is placed the negative of a photo printed on a transparent sheet, then covered by a glass pan. Exposing it under the sun for about 15 minutes and rinsing the paper sheet in the water afterward will develop and then fix the print.
